monumentsight

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released instructions to all heads of executive department agencies to "temporarily pause all activities related to obligation or disbursement of all Federal financial assistance." Behind this is Trump's administration trying to review agency programs and determining the use of funding for programs based on the President's priorities.

The following were signed January 28, 2025, with the pause effective 5PM that night.

  • Protect American people against invasion

  • reevaluate and realign US foreign aid

  • put America first in international environment agreements

  • unleashing American energy

  • ending racial and wasteful government DEI programs and preferencing

  • defending women from gender ideology extremism and restoring biological truth to the federal government

  • enforcing the Hyde amendment

With regard to the communications grants, loans and universal support, there will be reliance from the FCC, US Department of Commerce under the National Telecommunications and Information Association (NTIA) and the US Department of Agriculture under the Rural Utilities Service, to clarify which programs are affected.
