Background on Jia Wu
Jia Wu is a Consultant at John Staurulakis, Inc. Ms. Wu’s responsibilities include performing fair value and fair market value valuations, advising clients on financial transactions and structures, tracking financial and valuation trends in the rural and independent communications provider industries, and contributing to the firm’s industry research activities. Ms. Wu has participated in valuations for estate and gift tax planning for rural incumbent local exchange carriers, cable television providers, and, related operations; valuations for financial planning purposes; ASC 350-20 – Step One goodwill impairment studies; ASC 805 purchase price allocations; and valuations for employee stock ownership compliance. Prior to joining John Staurulakis, Inc., Ms. Wu was a Valuation Manager at Marshall & Stevens, Inc., where she performed valuations for financial reporting, gift and estate tax, fairness opinions and shareholder litigation purposes. Ms. Wu also has prior public accounting valuation experience with SingerLewak, LLP and boutique valuation firm, Globalview Advisors.
